It includes most of Garmin’s latest tech features, including music playback, body battery score, an improved wrist-based heart rate monitor, and a pulse oximeter. It’s much newer (released in June 2019), and it’s designed primarily for runners.
On the other side of the ring, we have the Forerunner 245. In other words, it can track road running, cycling and open water swimming, and it does so using Garmin’s multisport mode. The most important thing to note about the FR735 is that it’s designed for triathletes. Both have Garmin’s signature five-button layout that can be. Even though the FR735XT is slightly older (it was released in May 2016), it still packs a pretty serious punch in terms tech features. The Forerunner 245 comes in two different versionswithout music storage for 300, and with storage for up to 500 songs for 350. One one side of the ring we have the Forerunner 735.
The 245 has all of the same capabilities as the 245 Music, though the 245 Music allows you to store and play up to 500 song directly on the watch or play music through music streaming services, such as Spotify or Deezer, through wireless bluetooth earphones. This is a product battle between the Garmin Forerunner 245 vs Forerunner 735XT. The Forerunner 245/245 Music, released on April 30, 2019, are mid-range running watches.
